Chrystal Powell will be offering a workshop: Mold Making and Casting for Art and Food!

February 6, 7, 8 (Monday, Tuesday Wednesday) 6-9pm

Learn to make professional molds for artistic, crafty and culinary use. This three-day hands-on workshop will teach you RTV silicone rubber mold-making and casting techniques. Walk away with your own food-grade rubber mold and piece cast in chocolate. Make edible art in the shape of traditional or bizarre objects. Butterfly ice cubes, lego chocolates and cockroach shaped candies, ahoy!

Create replicas of countless forms and shapes in candy sculptures, edible cake decorations, chocolate, hard candy, butter, ice cream, fudge fondant, ice, gelatin, marzipan, poured sugar, pate and more! Molds will be sufficient for casting using a wide range of materials including but not limited to: edibles, soap, wax and resins.
