  • Finley Coyl: The Subtle Horror of the EverydayIMG_6191-sm Finley Coyl's new work will be installed in the Center for Sex and Culture gallery for January as a mural-sized unraveling of the grotesque, the fantasized, the ridiculous, the pretty, the struggle, and the obscene. These large-scale drawings in marker, pencil and paint on canvas with found objects and digital prints indirectly reference Picasso's 'Guernica' from a perspective of queer potential amidst a crumbling economic landscape.   • Mary Franck: Divining Portaldivinging portal installed nye Drawing on the history of the mechanical fortune teller, the Divining Portal "picks" tarot cards for the participant from a 365 card deck of traditional, contemporary,  and satirical tarot cards. Whimsical and seductive, the portal is implemented with vivid slowly morphing imagery. Video installation by Mary Franck.  
  • Tatiana Gelfand: RISK IS THIS Festivalpages Tatiana Gelfand has recently  become a member of  the literary committee for the Cutting Ball Theater.   This winter, she will be reviewing stacks of scripts submitted for the RISK IS THIS festival in 2013 - an experimental theater festival at the Cutting Ball Theater.   Out of hundreds of newly written scripts, the lit committee will choose three for a production in the spring.
