Finley Coyl
Finley draws on paper, materials, and skin – and combines portraiture, installation and performance work.
Finley’s work depicts balance, a play with polarities, the tension of opposites. Her drawing is design oriented, favoring bold lines and definitive textures, organic or abstract shapes and creature forms. Her digital portraiture grows out of the technical desires to expand and improve upon our physical bodies, while aesthetically compelling our animal instincts, our basic desires. She aspires towards ritual technology, being a cyborg and one day having a third arm.
